2:00-3:30 p.m

OLLI presenter Roz McGrath will give a free talk exploring how women were a large part of the antiwar movement, even though they were relegated to second class status within the organizations such as SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) and the SDS (Students for Democratic Society). Despite these inequities, women were able to gain experience with organizing protests and crafting effective antiwar rhetoric that would later serve to form the Women’s Movement.
