Shakespeare’s plays are known world-wide and have shaped our languages and literary imaginations for centuries. But is Willam Shakespeare truly the author of the works we know as “Shakespeare’s”? English Professor Bob Mayberry will host a presentation and discussion of the myths, legends, and theories surrounding the authorship of what we know as “Shakespeare” as part of the Broome Library Lecture Series.

Professor Mayberry has taught classes on English, poetry, composition, swearing, and even baseball literature during his 16 years at CSU-CI.

East & West: Stories of India at Ojai Library

Local Ojai Author Catherine Ann Jones is the award-winning author of eight books including Heal Your Self with Writing. Her latest, East & West, is described as a captivating book in which contrasting and complementary aspects of Indian culture are explored through stories of seekers, ordinary Indians, heroes, frauds, and victims.

Catherine Ann Jones has played major roles in over fifty productions on and off-Broadway, later becoming an award-winning playwright. She has authored eleven plays produced in and out of NYC and films including Unlikely Angel (Dolly Parton), The Christmas Wife, and the popular television series, Touched by an Angel. A Fulbright Scholar to India studying shamanism, she has taught for several years at The New School University in NYC and USC Film School in LA, as well writing workshops globally. Saturday, May 25, 11 am  to noon : OObleck Explore non-Newtonian fluids by making Oobleck with the Discover Science Team.

April 20, 11 am  to noon, Chromatography Butterflies exploring the process of capillary action.
March 23, Rainbow in a Jar water density experiment with sugar used a few kitchen ingredients to produce an amazing science experiment for kids! February 24, the Discover Science team explored surface tension and molecular bonds by creating various bubble formulas.
