  • Nutcracker Storytime

    E.P. Foster Library Topping Room Saturday, November 16, 11:00 am to noon

    EP Foster Library and Ventura County Ballet invite young readers and their families to a special Storytime featuring the Nutcracker story. Dancers will perform select scenes from The Nutcracker, showcasing the beauty and elegance of the beloved ballet. They will lead a dance demonstration where children can learn some basic ballet moves and experience the magic of ballet firsthand. The audience will also have the chance to participate in a Q&A session with Kathie Noblin, Director of Ventura County Ballet, and the ballet dancers.

    November 7 & 14: Lego Challenge

    November 21: Butter Making Making butter by hand can be hard work, but it can be easily made at home, or at the library! In this activity you’ll not only get to find out how butter is made, but also how temperature affects the butter-making process. Then you can enjoy the fruits (or rather, toppings) of your labors!

    October 10: Owl Pellets, October 26: Squishy Circuit Monsters September 19: Banana Pianos — Use Makey Makey and bananas to make music!   Lego Challenge: September 5, 12 & 26, October 3


  • Horror in the Stacks 2024

    Horror in the stacks E.P.Foster Library Saturday, October 12, 7:30 to 8:30 pm

    Visit for a scary fun time as the library turns haunted! 

    This event is free and open to youth, grades 5 – 12. Children 4th grade or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

    Come enjoy some Fall fun at the Avenue Library with spooky movies, crafts, and treats!  The following movies will be featured on Saturdays at 12:00pm.
