    Create, build, connect, and play. Designed for children ages 8+
    March 6: Lego Challenge

    March  13:  Almost Pi Day: There will be a Pi themed project, a 3D Printer Demo…and pie! *(for children, while supplies last)* Recommended for ages 6-16

    March 20: A-Mazing Lego Maze Building: Build a marble maze using Legos and challenge your friends to solve your maze!


  • Cinderella Storytime

    Join us for a magical storytime featuring the classic tale of Cinderella! Enjoy a special reading, a mini dance performance and a take home craft. Perfect for young readers and their families!


  • Teen Craft Club at Hill Road Library

    March 12 & 16, Wednesdays, 3:45 to 5:00 pm

    Every other week we will meet and make something crafty. This program is designed for people ages 11-19.

    In February, crafts were Amigurumi Ladybugs &: Fabric Marbling.


  • STEAM Fun at Avenue Library

    Avenue Library’s Teen Volunteer Club presents STEAM activities on the third Wednesday of the month from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.  The event is free and open to children, grades K-12.


  • Discover Science 2025

    Discover Science – Oobleck
    Hill Road Library

    Saturday, March 29, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Join the Discover Science team and explore the properties of non-Newtonian fluids by creating festive green and gold oobleck.

    February project: Lava lamp density & chemical reactions. January: Fake Snow Making, exploring endothermic reactions through creating fake snow.


  • Paws for Reading 2025

    Join PAWS dogs for one-on-one reading sessions. Arrive at the library early to choose a book and get in line to read to a special pooch.

    Children of all ages are welcome!

    Families are invited to attend the festivities, including photo area, crafts, and special doggie treats to take home to furry friends. Celebrate this anniversary with current and past therapy dogs and handlers and honor the remarkable dogs and volunteers who make it all possible.

  • Minecraft Club 2025

    An in-person Minecraft program where we play on the same server together.This program is limited to participants ages 5-17 years old. Space is limited. First come, first served.

    Teen Advisory Group at E.P. Foster Library
    Need school community service credit?  Teens 13-17 who want to help the library can join the Teen Advisory Group at E.P. Foster Library and plan fun TEEN and CHILDREN’S events!

    Avenue Library also has a teen volunteer group. The Teen Volunteer Club (ages 13 to 18) assists the Homework Center Coordinator by helping tutor students, as well as, helping to create STEAM projects for the children of the community. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please email Ina Holladay at ina.holladay@ventura.org.
