We’re in for a treat at our Annual Meeting. Shelley Savren, writer of poetry and prose, will lead a special workshop called “Mining Our Memories”. Everyone has a story to tell. Although you may not think of yourselves as writers, by the end of this workshop, you will find that story on paper.
Ms. Savren, award winning and published poet (The Common Fire, Red Hen Press) is an English Professor at Oxnard College. She has led many exciting workshops for children, young adults and adults in writing both prose and poetry.
Come to the Annual Meeting, vote for the Board of Directors for 2013/14, and bring a notebook or journal and pen or pencil. 
Be prepared to be astounded at how easy it is to tell your story.
