California Lutheran University (CLU) Science Faculty, William Bilodeau, PhD will visit the E.P. Foster Library Topping Assembly Room on

Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 7 pm to deliver a lecture titled “Geology Rocks.”

Dr. Bilodeau will highlight the Ventura County’s structural geology, the volcanic and sedimentary origins of the western Santa Monica Mountains, and the tectonics of Southern California. Dr. Bilodeau will also comment on the recent post-Thomas Fire mudslides and slope stability in the hills above Ventura.

This is the first in a three-part lecture series by CLU Science faculty called “Rocks, Sharks, and Monkeys”. The series includes the Wednesday, April 11 lecture “Shark Bite” and the Tuesday, April 24 lecture, “Let’s Monkey Around”. All lectures will be held at E.P. Foster Library’s Topping Assembly Room and will begin at 7pm.

This event is free and open to the public.
