Hank and Susan Stoutz have graciously donated original watercolors and photos to benefit the Ventura Friends of the Library and the Museum of Ventura County.
These works of art will be available for sale on November 10 at the Museum of Ventura County, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Friends of the Library will also have for sale a selection of gently used Art books and Cookbooks.

Susan Stoutz writes: “I love being out of doors, so it was only natural that when I found out that one could paint “plein air”, I took up the challenge with my watercolors and found other like-minded artists. So Ventura area Plein Painters began. .. . My paintings have been shown in private galleries in Ventura and Santa Barbara and have received awards in competitions. I have been a signature member of California Gold Coast Watercolor Society and a member of the Buenaventura Art Association, Ojai Art Center, Oxnard Art Association, Santa Paula Society of the Arts, and by invitation, the Ventura Studio Artists Tour.”
Hank Stoutz writes: “About fifteen years ago, photography became important to me as an end in itself rather than an enjoyable adjunct to other endeavors, like travel (although travel to out of the way places is an important source for my photography). Since then, I have participated in a wide variety of workshops, seminars and photo-tours that have gradually increased my technical knowledge and awareness of potential subjects. My main interest is in nature photography, including abstracts. It has been challenging to photograph the unlimited aspects of nature with varied techniques including the use of close up macro, very wide angle and very long telescopic lenses. Perhaps the greatest satisfaction has been in being able to “see” subjects in uncommon ways and to record and share those images.”
